City to hold 9/11 Remembrance at Veterans Park

The City of Canyon Lake will hold its 9/11 Remembrance Day event on Sept. 11 at the Veterans Memorial Park in the Canyon Lake Town Center at 8:30 a.m.

All are invited to join city officials at the hour-long memorial.

“Remember and Honor” is the theme of the event and the city will remember those who lost their lives on 9/11 and honor the city’s first responders and military service members who serve the community daily, City Manager Nicole Dailey said.

Activities will include speeches by Mayor Jeremy Smith and Fire Chief Jeff LaTendresse as well as a special performance by Elsinore High School’s ROTC. Coffee and donuts will be served.
