CL Lions celebrate successful Guide Dogs event

The Canyon Lake Lions Club held a successful fundraising golf tournament last month with all proceeds benefiting the Guide Dogs of the Desert, a non-profit organization that provides fully-trained guide dogs to the blind at no cost.

This substantial donation was made possible because of the generosity of the participating golfers, sponsors, and those providing opportunity drawing donations. The Lions Club golf tournament was held at the Canyon Lake Golf and Country Club.

“On behalf of Guide Dogs of the Desert, the Canyon Lake Lions Club would like to thank and acknowledge the community and its businesses for their sponsorships and opportunity drawing donations,” Jeff Jordan, the Canyon Lake Lions Club Director of Public Affairs, said. “We send a special thank you to all of our sponsors.”

The sponsors were Temecula Valley Lexus of Temecula, Coldwell Banker of Canyon Lake, Farmers Insurance of Canyon Lake, CPR Training Center of Canyon Lake, The Pain Clinic of Canyon Lake, Touw Construction Co, Inc. of Wildomar, Rich and Darlene Moline of Nevada, Trusted Business Partners of Menifee, Richard and Leslie Jarbeau of Rhode Island, Travis and Valera Montgomery of Canyon Lake, and Joe and Linda Kamashian of Canyon Lake.

The Opportunity Drawing donors were Lowes of Menifee, BJ’s Brewery of Menifee, Massage Envy of Menifee, Texas Roadhouse of Menifee, Olive Garden of Menifee, South Coast Winery of Temecula, Bob Jacobson of Canyon Lake, Kip Evens of Canyon Lake, Tina Visser of Canyon Lake, Shirley D’Agostino of Canyon Lake, Terry Slane of Canyon Lake, Pala Mesa Resort of Fallbrook, Ronnie’s Jewelers of Lake Elsinore, Temecula Creek Golf Club of Temecula, The Golf Club of California of Fallbrook, Cypress Ridge Golf Club of Arroyo Grande, and Rancho Del Sol Golf Club of Moreno Valley.

The Hole-In-One Sponsor was Prestige Golf Center of Murrieta.

Canyon Lake Lions Club would also like to give a special thank you to Bob Jacobson for volunteering numerous hours of his time and donating year after year, Jeff said.

The Canyon Lake Lions Club serves various non-profits organizations such as The Ronald McDonald House, National Federation of the Blind, Lions Diabetes Camp of Southern California, Guide Dogs of the Desert, and many more worthwhile causes, Jeff said.a
