Teens whoop elite adult SCGA golfers

Canyon Lake teen Breanna Noble, 14, on the right in the photo to the right, teamed up with Hannah Bagnell, 14, of Cathedral City, to take first place in the 2023 SCGA Women’s Four Ball Championship at the Desert Willow Golf Resort last week in Palm Desert.

The two made Southern California Golf Association history as they became the youngest champs ever in Four Ball Championship history. The two competed against some of Southern California’s most decorated amateur adult golfers and didn’t flinch.

Breanna and Hannah shot combined rounds of 69 and 68 for a winning score of seven under par. They played 36 holes on the two courses at Desert Willow and won by two strokes over two teams with former adult Players of the Year.

In the stress-filled second round, paired against 2022’s best player, Breanna calmly chipped in from the fringe for an Eagle on the 18th hole, clinching the victory by the two strokes.
