But Larry‘s talents extend beyond the spotlight. After selling their company and retiring, Larry and his wife Linda made the bold decision to leave New England and start a new chapter of their lives in Canyon Lake. Arriving in 2010, they embraced their new community with open arms. They quickly became involved, joining the chair volleyball club and forming lasting friendships.

Not one to sit idle in retirement, Larry utilized his skills and obtained his electrical contracting license. He started his own business and offers services in electrical work, home theater installations, distributed sound systems, and computer-related design. Over the next nine years, he built a customer base and formed connections with the individuals he served.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Larry‘s love for music led him to join the Canyon Lake Choraleers in 2013. Singing has always been a lifelong passion, so it was only natural that he dedicate his time and talent to the group.

For several years, he has served as the Choraleers‘ president, coordinating and setting up all the technical aspects of their concerts. Larry‘s expertise in integrating video media has transformed their performances into audible and visually stimulating experiences for the audience.

Beyond the Choraleers, Larry is actively involved in Canyon Lake community events. He joined the Veterans Day Committee to maximize the Choraleers‘ involvement and improve the quality of the Veterans Day celebration held in the Canyon Lake Town Center.

Additionally, Larry was elected to a board position with the Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild in 2016. He initially served as the director of publicity before taking on the role of director of operations. In this capacity, he oversees everything connected to the visiting musicians and works to enhance the sound and theatrical lighting in the Canyon Lake Lodge Holiday Bay Room. Thanks to his efforts, the Guild’s finance-backed sound equipment project received approval from the Canyon Lake POA and the concert room now sports state-of-the-art sound.

Larry and Linda have found a true sense of belonging in Canyon Lake. They have developed a deep love for the community and cherish the special friendships they have made. With its beauty, uniqueness, and remarkable qualities, Canyon Lake has become their cherished home, and they look forward to calling it so for many years to come.
