City seeking help to get flags on all Canyon Lake yards

The City of Canyon Lake has the flags…all 4,800 of them…and now needs the volunteers to plant them in each of the front yards of the city for a festive Memorial Day weekend in the community. Each year, the City of Canyon Lake staff and a slew of volunteers place an American flag in the yard of every home for the holiday weekend. They do this to recognize and honor those who serve and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in protecting the nation.

With 4,800 properties in Canyon Lake, getting all of these flags into all of these yards becomes quite a tall task. Those who would like to help, will need to register via the city’s website, canyonlakeca.gov and click on the Volunteer Registration.

Volunteers are limited to Canyon Lake residents or invited guests of residents who can access the community. When registering, three dates are available: May 24-26.
