The Canyon Lake Wakeboard Club held its first two competitions over the weekend in the Canyon Lake backwater of the North Ski Area. Among the winners were Jovina Vogel, far right in the photo with her father Jason Vogel and his other daughters Havannah Vogel and Alondra Vogel. Jovina won first place in the Women‘s Surf and Novice Divisions. Jovie Gripentrog, 11, was another winner, having taken first place in the Junior Novice for Wakeboarding and Girl’s Surf. The club’s next event is open to the community on May 7 where lessons will be given on its popular Learn to Ride Day.
