Dealing with a chronic illness? Support is available

For those dealing with a chronic illness, support is available at a monthly meeting of The Canyon Lake Chronic Illness Support Group. The group meets again on May 1 in the Magnolia Room at the Canyon Lake Country Club at 6:00 p.m.

The support group provides a safe place for people to come together who are experiencing a chronic illness or have a family member who is.

Steven Prince, the founder of the organization, is thankful to have a place to help support others and to also have a positive environment where people can share what they are going through and the challenges they are facing.

“The group is a safe place to come, share, encourage and learn together,” Steven said. “Many people face sudden health issues and just need an outlet for encouragement and support.“

After Steven went through his own health challenges he found others who were also facing similar challenges. He and his wife Alexis Prince took the initiative to start the group.

Confidentiality is of the utmost importance, Steven said.

For additional information, contact him at 949-293-2919 or just show up at the May 1 meeting.
