Canyon Lake Eagle Scout Matthew Thomas designed and submitted the uniform shoulder patch that The California Inland Empire Council of the Boy Scouts of America will use to celebrate its 50th Anniversary this year. Matthew‘s patch celebrates the outdoor adventures of Scouting, recognizes the growth of the Scouting Program and recognizes the history of the council with symbols representing both San Bernardino and Riverside Counties and the early District the California Inland Empire serves. Matthew earned his Eagle Scout Award in 2022 and is a member of BSA Troop 2011.
