TCHS tennis team grateful for Canyon Lake help

With the Temescal Canyon High School boys tennis team’s first game today, the members of the team are expressing gratitude for the help the Canyon Lake Tennis Club has given.

“The boys want to give a big thank you to the Canyon Lake Tennis Club including its president, Mike Porter, for their continuing financial support through the years,” the team’s Debi Perry said.

“Thank you to Bobby Kielty for coaching the Canyon Lake Tennis Club Junior Program.”

Other club members have also helped, Debi said. Dawn Wessel, Gyan Birmingham and Henry Valdez supplied rackets for the team and Linda Hockenberry provided donations as well. Temescal Canyon High School Tennis Coach Mariano Gallo and Coach Lori Borresen have worked hard all year round to help the team improve, she said

The team’s first home match is today at 3:00 p.m. at Temescal Canyon High school. Canyon Lake tennis fans are encouraged to come out and cheer the team on. Canyon Lakers on the team are Landon Bristow, Talan Denison, Cade Douglas, Sean Atas, Nolan Carr, Lucas Lam and Kaleb Martinez.
