TCHS Cheer, majority from Canyon Lake, win CIF

With more than half of the Temescal Canyon High School cheer team made up of Canyon Lake girls, the Titans won the CIF Southern Section 2023 Traditional Competitive Cheer 2AA Championships Saturday.

The team came in first with Beckman High School and Tesoro High School rounding out the top three at the championships held at Martin Luther King High School in Riverside. The CIF championship was the school’s second title in consecutive years.

The Titans are coached by Autumn Crawford, Somer Campbell, and Canyon Lake’s Chantel Bristow. Kennedy Benham from Canyon Lake is the team captain. Others on the team from Canyon Lake are Skyler Benham, Ryann Boshard, Kynsli Bangora, Hailey Berry, McKenzie Cassara, Emma Cole, Emily Graham, Ava Jaffe, Rula Katsouridis, Sawyer Lanouette, Serenity Llorin, Carisa Ronchetti, Summer Scott, Stefani Uribe, Kaitlyn Usary and Allyson Villarreal.
