CL Woman’s Club holding cooking class

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club is holding its annual cooking class on Jan. 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the Canyon Lake Senior Center and the community is invited.

The theme is, “Everything on Boards.” Appetizers, mains, dessert, butter boards and charcuterie boards will be on the agenda for the event. Also being taught at the class is how to make whip cream in a jar and flavored Collins butters.

The class will include making several compound savory and sweet butters and will also demonstrate how to present a butter board, which attendees will learn is the newest way to entertain.

In addition to learning from the class, the club is promising that there will be tons of yummy items to taste.

The class is limited to 50 people, costs $40 and must be prepaid. Participants can bring a beverage of choice to sip on during the class.
