Theater club looking for audition songs

Into the Woods, a well-known Broadway musical, is being performed by the Canyon Lake Community Theater in March and auditions are open for those seeking to participate.

Auditions are being held via submitted vocal recordings. Those interested should send a one-minute karaoke-style audition song along with the singer’s name and phone number to clctauditions@gmail.com. Submissions are due by Jan. 6.

Into The Woods is about a search for four items that sends the baker and his barren wife through the woods on a magical journey to reverse an evil spell. They wish for a child and are sent by an evil witch on the scavenger hunt. Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Cinderella soon join the mix on this magical tale of love and adventure.

Those who are successfully cast will be contacted by the director. A $10.00 membership is required of all those in the show.

Into the Woods will be performed March 3 and March 4. The show will be performed at Elsinore High School and will benefit the Elsinore High School Theater department.
