Woman’s Club throws dice at Bunco-ho-ho-ho

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club held their Annual Bunco-ho-ho-ho Holiday Party at the Canyon Lake Senior Center on Monday evening with dozens of ladies participating in an evening of fun with dice.

This year‘s bunco was led by chairperson Adessa Walker who recently took on the responsibility of philanthropy for the Woman’s Club. She took Debi Gonzales’ place after she moved out of state.

Adessa and her co-chairs ensured the evening was fun for all involved.

The committee provided appetizers and drinks for the players to enjoy.

“The money raised tonight will go to the club‘s continued philanthropic endeavors,” Adessa said. “I’m really pleased with the turnout and the evening was a huge success thanks to participants and, of course, the entire committee. I couldn’t have done it without the support I received.”

The overall winner with the most wins was Jill Archuleta, who took home a large gift basket donated by Canyon Lake Solar.

Sharri was the most bunco winner and took home a gift basket donated by Brenda Zingg of Coldwell Banker.

The winner of the most baby buncos was Cathy Higelmire, who won a $50 gift card to CJ’s Restaurant Bar and Grill.

The most losses went to Kellie Welty who took home a Texas Roadhouse gift card.

Every player was entered into a raffle and winners Sandy Humphrey, Kathy Wood, Pam Oskey, Shelley Carter and Aprile McKinnon took home Starbucks gift cards. Krista Shaw and Debbie Williams took home Mary Kay gift baskets.

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club holds many events throughout the year to raise money for its philanthropic efforts.
