Torah Club invites community to Menorah Lighting at POA

The Canyon Lake Torah Club invites those in the community to its annual Menorah Lighting on Dec. 21 at the Canyon Lake POA offices in the Canyon Lake Town Center. The club will be lighting the Menorah in celebration of the fourth night of Hanukkah.

The 6:00 p.m. event will be led by Jon Teperson. He said the community is encouraged to bring their own menorah and to enjoy challah bread, refreshments and other snacks. For more information, contact Jenny Teperson at 951-552-0055.

Hanukkah, the Jewish festival of rededication, also known as the Festival of Lights, is an eight-day festival beginning on the 25th day of the Jewish month of Kislev. This year, the celebration of Hanukkah begins with the lighting of the first candle of the menorah at sundown on Dec. 18. The festival ends at sundown on Dec. 26.
