Parade of Lights tomorrow night

The 40th Annual Canyon Lake Yacht Club Parade of Lights is tomorrow night beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The impressive holiday parade will begin at Eastport and continue to Eastbay towards the causeway.

The long-time Parade of Lights is a tradition that features a parade of decorated boats that tour the lake spreading holiday cheer to those gathering on the shorelines, beaches and lakefront backyards.

The iconic Green Dragon will lead the parade of boats as they take to the lake to exhibit their holiday spirit with lights and colorful holiday decorations and displays.

The parade will continue around the Main Lake, avoiding all but Big Bass Cove and Catfish Cove. No other coves will be entered this year.

The Yacht Club will give out awards in a variety of categories to boat entrants. In addition to the traditional individual and family boat categories, the Parade of Lights this year will have divisions in the Neighborhood Challenge and Club Challenge categories.
