Ski Club to host Pictures with Santa Dec. 10

The Canyon Lake Water Ski Club will host Pictures with Santa on Dec. 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the North Ski Area Pavilion.

Community members are encouraged to bring their little ones to come say “hi” to Santa, share their Christmas wishes, and take a memorable photo. Santa’s Helpers will be on hand to coordinate the event.

“Santa will arrive by boat at the North Ski Area Pavilion before 9:00 a.m. and is excited to see all the good boys and girls,” the club’s Debra Sacks said. “Parents, please bring your camera and capture a beautiful photo with the lake as your backdrop.”

Time to roll the dice and call Bunco

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club is hosting Bunco, Ho-Ho-Ho at the Canyon Lake Senior Center on Dec. 19 beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Tickets for Bunco are $35 and include a wide variety of home-baked goodies and wine.

Seating is limited and open to all women, ages 18 years and older. Tickets can be purchased by calling Adessa Walker at 951-514-9007.

Mizuno Golf Fitting Day

A free Mizuno Fitting Day will take place tomorrow (Saturday) from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Canyon Lake Golf & Country Club.

A Mizuno‘s representative will be on hand to analyze participants’ swings and suggest the proper set for each individual. All of their newest equipment will be available to try.

The event is free and open to the public. Appointments can be made by calling the Golf Shop at 951-246-1782 or by registering on the canyonlakepoa.com website.

PEO to hold Boutique just before Christmas

A holiday boutique just a week before Christmas is being held at the Canyon Lake Senior Center by the Canyon Lake Chapter of P.E.O.

The Last Chance Boutique and Luncheon is scheduled for Dec. 17 at 11:00 a.m. and the community is invited to participate.

“Take this opportunity to have a delicious lunch and buy some last-minute gifts and goodies,” the club’s Peggy Clark said.

Tickets are $25.00 and include lunch and entrance to the holiday boutique. The tickets can be purchased from Johnnie D‘Alessandro at 951-244-4191 or 562-715-9339.

P.E.O. is an International organization that promotes women‘s education through scholarships and loans.

Travel Club holding a Holly Jolly Christmas at the Lodge

Reservations are due Thursday for the Canyon Lake Travel Club’s annual Christmas dinner on Dec. 16 in the Holiday Bay Room at the Canyon Lake Lodge.

The evening will begin with cocktails at 6:00 p.m. followed by the annual meeting at 6:40 p.m. and dinner at 7:00 p.m.

The theme this year is A Holly Jolly Christmas.

Entree selections are Tri-tip, Chicken Marsala or Vegetarian Lasagna. Two bottles of wine will be placed at each table and there will be a no-host bar.

Member appreciation gift drawings and live entertainment by Mike Shroyer will be the entertainment for the Christmas event.
