2023 Concerts at the Lodge tickets go on sale

The Canyon Lake POA has officially announced its complete 2023 line up of its annual Concerts at the Lodge series to be held at the Canyon Lake Lodge.

The 2023 POA Concerts at the Lodge line up was completed by the addition of an Atlanta Rhythm Section Concert on June 17.

The previously-announced concerts are Don Dokken on Feb. 11, The English Beat on May 6, Deana Carter on Aug. 19 and The Fabulous Thunderbirds on Nov. 4.

“The talent buying process took three months,” Doug Schultz, the Canyon POA’s talent buyer, producer, showrunner and emcee, said. “We have a diversified line up of quality national recording artists who the Canyon Lake audience is sure to love.”

Don Dokken is the lead singer of the legendary glam metal band Dokken,  which has sold over 10 million albums. He takes the Holiday Bay Room stage on Feb. 11.

“I’ve done two shows with Don,” Doug said. “Canyon Lakers will witness his vibrato-laden melodic vocal style that made him an influential figure in American Heavy Metal.”

The British New Wave band, The English Beat, features Dave Wakeling on lead vocals and guitars.

“The band fuses Latin, Ska, pop, soul, reggae and punk rock to their high energy live shows,” Doug said. “I’ve had the great opportunity to have worked with Dave in the past.”

Atlanta Rhythm Section formed in the 1970s.

“They are an awesome, established band with 15 albums, 10 music videos and 10 smash hit songs,” Doug said. “It’s going to be a night of good music, good friends and good vibes.”

Deana Carter is a Country Music star and she will be performing on Aug. 19.

“She’s got a five-time multi-platinum album, 14 hit singles, three number one smash hits and multiple country music nominations and awards,” Doug said. “It won’t be just a concert, it will be an experience.”

The Fabulous Thunderbirds, which are led by singer and harpist Kim Wilson, will complete the 2023 concert series on Nov. 4.

“Having booked them twice in the past, I understand why The Thunderbirds are known for their dynamic sold-out live performances around the world,” Doug said. “The band is an iconic Texas Roadhouse Blues band.”
