Lodge Tree Lighting Sunday

The 40th Annual Tree Lighting Festival will take place Sunday at the Canyon Lake Lodge from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The traditional holiday kickoff event hosted by The Canyon Lake POA and the Canyon Lake Junior Women’s Club is free and will include a variety of holiday entertainment and activities.

The highlight of the evening will be the arrival of Santa Claus aboard a Canyon Lake Fire Department Fire Engine.

Included throughout the evening will be Face Painters, Ferris Wheel Ride, 360 Photo Booth, Balloon Animal Creators, Large Petting Zoo, LED Toy Vendor, Gingerbread Bounce House, Lighted Rock Climbing Wall, Snow, Food Vendors and more. Family activities are free, except for vendor and food booths.

Food booths include La Patrona, Carl’s Concessions and Cali Grub (Kettle Corn, Funnel Cake, Iced Coffee and Fruit Smoothies).

The little ones won’t want to miss seeing Santa Claus ride in on a fire truck where he will lead the ceremonial tree lighting ceremony.

Children will have the opportunity to meet with Santa and parents are encouraged to bring their cameras to capture those moments with their children and Santa.

The Junior Women’s Club is collecting new, unwrapped and unopened toys for less fortunate children. For every toy donated at the Tree Lighting Festival, a raffle ticket will be given. The JWC raffle will begin at 6:40 p.m.
