Houses chosen for annual holiday home tour

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club has chosen the five homes that will be featured on its annual Holiday Home Tour on Dec. 3.

The first home on the tour to be announced is Henry and Beth Parks, located at 30369 Longhorn Dr. and their theme is Christmas Fun.

A tiered front yard and traditional colonnade welcome you to this two story home. Both the porch and the second story balcony allow for views of the Lake. Double leaded doors and a transom window open onto the living areas of this home.

Inside, Christmas trees flank both sides of the entry. To the right attendees will find a parlor for social gatherings and games, which will be changed into a formal dining room all aglow for Christmas. To the left is the living room, with its unusual chandelier fan and striking fireplace with a charcoal gray accent wall.

A small bar leads everybody past the curving staircase to the gourmet kitchen, where much activity will abound for the holidays. A casual dining area and a movie room complete the downstairs area.

Upstairs are four bedrooms and two baths. This is a house full of fun and life, waiting for a wonderful Christmas.

The club will announce the remaining four houses, one at a time, over the next four weeks leading up to the tour. Also taking place on Dec. 3 prior to the tour is a tree raffle along with vendors at the Canyon Lake Lodge.
