Public invited to State of the City

City of Canyon Lake Mayor Jeremy Smith will be the keynote speaker as he presents the State of the City address on Oct. 27. Community leaders as well as the general public are invited to the event at the Canyon Lake Lodge.

The Reception (No Host Bar) will begin at 5:00 p.m. The dinner and program will follow at 6:00 p.m. Federal, state, and county dignitaries are being invited and are expected to attend the annual event sponsored by the City of Canyon Lake, in partnership with the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce.

Those wishing to attend the State of the City dinner will need to RSVP by Oct. 15 at 5:00 p.m. General Admission tickets are $40 and are on sale now on the EventBrite.com website. ID of those not residing in Canyon Lake will be required to receive gate access to this event, City Clerk Ana Sauseda said.

It will be an evening of networking with city dignitaries, community stakeholders and businesses. The mayor will share the accomplishments of the past year and the city’s future vision. The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce will also conduct the installation of its 2023 Board of Directors.

In addition, Jeremy will present the 2nd Annual Jordan Ehrenkranz Spirit of Canyon Lake Award to a resident who has best exemplified the giving and passionate spirit that makes Canyon Lake “A Little Bit of Paradise.” The inaugural Firefighter of the Year Award will also be presented.

Sponsorships are available and may be obtained by either contacting Ana at the city or by signing up on the EventBrite site. The sponsorships are $500 each and include the company name displayed on event signage, verbal recognition from the event stage, sponsorship acknowledgment on the city & Chamber of Commerce websites and up to eight reserved seats at the event.
