Each of the pre-1998 cars will be judged and more than 25 different trophies will be awarded. This judging will take place from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Meanwhile, the cars will be available for viewing by the general public.

Following the judging, a Canyon Lake ShowCal Ski Show will take place at Sunset Beach, followed by a slew of raffles and a 50/50 drawing at 1:30 p.m. A silent auction for a Garage Screen Door and an Auto Lift will also be part of the Car Club’s fundraising.

The Canyon Lake ShowCal Skiers will put on a show at the Canyon Lake Car Club Show tomorrow at Sunset Beach.

The Canyon Lake Car Show is produced by volunteers from the Canyon Lake Car Club and their sponsors. The show is a 501c3 nonprofit event and proceeds from the show will be donated by the Canyon Lake Car Club to two charities this year, Project T.O.U.C.H. and Helping Hands. Both charities will have booths at the show.

Project T.O.U.C.H. is asking those attending to donate Christmas package wrapping by dropping it off at its booth. Project T.O.U.C.H. is dedicated to preventing homelessness in local communities. Since its founding in 2003, the group has fought and advocated for those in need to receive the most basic and essential human needs.

The Canyon Lake Car Show is holding a “Put a Jar in Your Car” peanut butter drive. The club will be collecting jars of peanut butter for the Canyon Lake-based Helping Hands charity booth. All jars collected tomorrow will be donated locally. Peanut butter is Helping Hands’ most requested food item and it goes a long way in helping local families and seniors.

To wrap up the day, trophies and awards will be presented at 3:00 p.m. Canyon Lake Car Club members are not eligible to win awards.

“This looks like it will be the best car show yet,” Perry Beggs, Canyon Lake Car Club president, said. “On behalf of the entire club, we are excited to see everyone at the annual car show. We hope it’s a memorable day for everyone.”a
