Car Club hosts Mystery Garage Tour, Poker Run

When groups of golf carts and antique cars drive up and down Canyon Lake most figure something is up. Sure enough all those carts and cars were headed to the Canyon Lake Car Club’s members-only evening of garages, poker, and progressive dinner.

The evening launched at the Canyon Lake Lodge where poker sheets were distributed, and promptly at 6:00 p.m., members were handed their first top-secret map to Location One.

After arriving at Location One, they were greeted with appetizers, beverages and a chance at two more poker cards in hopes of building a winning hand.

At 7:10 p.m. the whistle blew again and members were given their second top-secret map to Location Two. At this second location they were wine and dined with a main course dinner and two more cards to add to their poker hands.

After consuming the dinner, the whistle blew for the final time and the members were off on golf carts and fun and fancy cars to their final destination where dessert was served. After ice cream, the winner of the 50/50 top-secret poker run was announced.

As evidenced by the evening of food and games, The Canyon Lake Car Club is more than a group of people who put on Car Shows. The club holds a monthly coffee and donuts car show and get together every month at Sierra Park. The entire community is invited to come and check out some of the beautiful automobiles tomorrow morning from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
