Wanna flock a friend?
The Canyon Lake Family Matters Club flamingos have arrived again for the third year in a row and they’re available for Flocking a Friend. The club fundraiser has been wildly successful the past two years during the pandemic and the pink flamingos can be borrowed again this year to be sent to a friend’s yard as a shocking surprise.
The Flocks of Flamingos are available for reservation now, with the first batch of yards being flocked May 9. The yard remains flocked for 48 hours before they are moved to another recipient’s front yard. Flocking will take place May 9 to May 27th.
Each flock will be accompanied by a “Just Been Flocked” sign in the yard and a letter explaining their arrival.
The flock will migrate to another yard in 48 hours unless the recipient calls the club’s Trained Flamingo Technician for immediate re-homing. The sender is charged for the flocking and there is no cost to the recipient.
The recipient enjoys the flamingos in their yard for 48 hours and then a Trained Flamingo Tech will come and remove them. However, the recipient can instead purchase a re-flocking of their own and send the flamingos to a home of their choice.
There are three options in purchasing the flocking of a friend’s yard. Each option is the same except for the number of flamingos being placed on the friend’s yard. All receive a lawn sign, a letter and flamingos. The Migration option is a flock of 12 for $20.00, The Stop Over option is a flock of 24 for $35.00 and the Flamboyance option is a flock of 50 for $50.00.
To purchase a flocking, visit the Canyon Lake Family Matters website at www.FamilyMatterClub.org or its Facebook page where a link is available to pay via PayPal or with a credit card. To pay by cash or check, call 714-394-4885.
The proceeds from the fundraiser go to sponsor Family Matters Philanthropic efforts in Canyon Lake.
