New Canyon Laker has been visiting the lake his whole life

Dillon Cook and his seven-month-old son Calvin love just simply driving around Canyon Lake in their golf cart. The Cooks just moved into Canyon Lake after spending his life visiting grandparents who lived here.

Dillion has spent over 30 years of his life visiting and vacationing in Canyon Lake and recently, he was able to purchase the home his grandparents bought when he was just a baby himself.

Dillion and his wife Nancy said they couldn’t be more excited about their new lake life.

“I wish I could have grown up here instead of just coming for visits and vacations,” Dillon said. “I am so happy to be able to raise my son here.”

While wife Nancy was home resting after a long day of caring for the couple‘s new baby, Dad and son hit the parks and beaches by way of golf cart.

The little family has been enjoying lake life for almost a month now and Dillon said he loves cruising around and meeting new people and making new friends.

“Little Calvin is an ice breaker,” Dillon said. “Having Calvin along for the rides makes it easier for me to strike up conversations and for others to approach me.”
