Golfers invited to 30th Lions Charity Tourney

The Canyon Lake Lions Club is sponsoring its 30th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on April 28 and is inviting the Canyon Lake community to participate. The annual charity event has earned over $240,000 over the past 29 years.

Lion charities such as Guide Dogs of the Desert will receive this year’s donations. Disaster relief all over the world plus many organizations around Canyon Lake also will receive donations.

Guide Dogs of the Desert will have puppies along with their raisers at the Charity Golf Tournament this year. They will be at the Canyon Lake Club House between 10:30 a.m. and noon. Those wishing to interact with the puppies should come early to visit with theme and their raisers.

There will be two different golf games available at the tournament. One will be a threesome with a Pro provided by Pat Kemball and the other will be a four-person scramble. At both of the golf games players will have an opportunity to “Win a Golf Cart” by getting a Hole-in-One at Hole 11 sponsored by Canyon Golf Carts & Motorsports.

“We are always looking for current and additional new sponsors,” sponsor contact Lioness Nancy Coughlin said. “This is an excellent opportunity to advertise your business while helping others in need.”

To register for the tournament the sign-up items are at the tournament. The cost for this tournament is $60.00 which includes banquet dinner and awards. Those wishing to participate should make the check out to Canyon Lake Lions.

Golf fees are an additional $34.00 and cart fee is $15.00. Those fees should be paid via check, which should be made out to Canyon Lake Golf Pro Shop. Entry forms are available at the Canyon Lake Pro Shop.
