Golf tournament to raise funds for JWC

The largest fundraiser of the year for the Canyon Lake Junior Women’s Club takes place April 2 in the form of its annual golf tournament. The proceeds from the event go towards scholarships for Canyon Lake graduating seniors.

Sponsors and participants are being sought by the club to help raise the funds it needs for these scholarships. The tournament is always a lot of fun and this year includes a helicopter ball drop where cash prizes will be awarded.

Also included in the popular golf tourney is a putting contest, a closet to the pin contest and a longest drive contest. A hole in one contest where the winner receives a new golf cart is also on the docket.

Several of the holes throughout the course are marked with special sponsors. Sponsorship opportunities are available on the club’s website. Non-players can participate in the raffles, silent auction and helicopter ball drop. Lunch is included for tournament participants.
