Tour de Canyon Lake bike ride March 19

The Canyon Lake Triathlon and Fitness Club is inviting the Canyon Lake community to join in on its annual community bike ride on March 19 beginning at 8:45 a.m. at the Lodge parking lot.

The club will be collecting donations of pet food and supplies for the Animal Friends of the Valley, the local pet shelter that services Canyon Lake.

Participants who donate at least $10.00 will receive an event T-Shirt while supplies last.

The bike route begins at the Lodge before heading to the Main Gate, then left on Continental and back to Canyon Lake Drive, then to the East Gate, back to the North Gate, then left on Longhorn to the Campground and then back to the Lodge.

All types of bikes and fitness levels are encouraged to participate. This is a casual group ride, and not a race.

The Triathlon and Fitness Club hosts a variety of community and member only events throughout the year. Some of the community events include the Paddle & Pedal Regatta in August and the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day.

Member events include group work outs, Sprint and Olympic Distance triathlons, along with other fun social events.

Anyone interested in joining the Triathlon and Fitness Club will be able to do so at the Tour de Canyon Lake event.

Dues are $35.00 per individual or $40.00 for families and can be paid with cash, check or Paypal.
