CL Yacht Club honors Parade of Lights winners

One of the longest-running and most popular events of the year in Canyon Lake came to a festive conclusion last week as winners of the Christmas Parade of Lights boat parade were honored by The Canyon Lake Yacht Club.

The annual award ceremony and dinner was held at PZA restaurant in the Canyon Lake Town Center. It appeared only a spattering of those invited were going to show with only 16 confirming their attendance.

But, when it came time for the event, the club was asking PZA personnel to bring out more table settings and food as 32 ended up coming to the dinner and awards ceremony.

“The more the merrier,” the club’s Renee Griffiths said. ”We as a club are so excited to be able to celebrate with so many friends.”

Rich Moline, Commodore, presented the many awards and thanked everyone for coming out and celebrating. He took time to answer a few questions and talk about some club positions that are open.

As part of the dinner, Rich asked about some ideas for next year’s parade. Club board members joined in the conversation and gave their input and ideas for making this year’s boat parade even better.
