Week of fish stories

These three Canyon Lake friends spent the New Year on this 65-foot Apollo fishing for a week from San Diego to Cabo in Mexico. The three, from left, Ron Wilbur, Don Torres and Chris Papavero spent the time on the boat with only seven other fishermen and caught many types of fish. Their haul included dorado, tuna, yellow tail, African Pompano, white fish, barracuda and many types of rockfish that were caught fishing on the bottom.
