Tom Furman has big golf day with ALB group

Tom Fuhrman had a great round at Canyon Lake’s After Lunch Bunch’s first game of the year Friday, winning all the categories of the Partner’s Best Ball round.

The group first enjoyed the round of golf under perfect conditions and then headed to the Canyon Lake Country Club to help Tom celebrate. HIs birdies on Holes 1 and 2 provided two of the three skins he won. He was closest to the pin on Hole 2 and with his partner Jim Merritt shot a net 59 to win Flight A. His amazing pile of prize money was more than six times his entry fee.

“It was a gorgeous day for golf,” the group’s Chris Poland said. “The course is in great shape, the weather was sunny, and the crisp early temperatures turned into a comfortable morning. The clear air and the snow-covered mountains this time of year provided a wide variety of spectacular views from our delightfully hilly course.”

Tom’s spectacular day still left room for others to claim prizes. Ross Hanover and Chris scored a net 62 to take Flight B, Fred Espinosa was closest to the pin on 17 and Chuck Fury and Mike Pinto claimed the remaining skins at one each.
