CL Country Club crowd thrilled by mom/son duo

The mom and son duo of Shaun and Aprile McKinnon took the stage Friday night as the opening act to Code 415 at the Canyon Lake Country Club.

Aprile and Shaun moved to Canyon Lake about nine years ago as mother and son and their bond was evident as Aprile introduced her son as her singing partner for the evening. She said it was such an honor to be able to introduce Shaun to sing alongside her.

The duo began the evening with Rocketman and the crowd erupted in cheer as Shaun hit the high notes.

One of those in attendance said he was amazed at how teenage Shaun interacted with the crowd while singing more upbeat songs and getting the audience involved.

The night was a hit and according to Aprile, the best part of the experience was being able to sing alongside her son.
