In Memoriam: Josephine ‘JoAnn’ Emmett

Josephine “JoAnn” Emmett, 78, of Canyon Lake, passed into Paradise on Oct.11, 2021.

JoAnn was born on Nov. 28, 1942, in Los Angeles, California, to John and Dorothy Haworth, who preceded her in death.

JoAnn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt who loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends.

JoAnn is survived by her husband of 60 years Jim Emmett, children Debbie Emmett Frazier and Jimmy Emmett, grandchildren Aubree Rojas, Barrett Rojas, Brandon Emmett, and Colbee (Rojas) Fox, great grandchildren Jade Rebel Rojas, Isabella Rose Rojas, and Crew Jameson Fox, her brother Thomas Haworth, and nephew David Haworth.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her older brother Robert Haworth.

JoAnn was laid to rest on Oct. 25, 2021, at Pacific Crest Cemetery, Redondo Beach, surrounded by family and friends. Her loving spirit, sense of humor, and sassy nature will be missed by all who knew her.
