Lifelong CL friends both named TCHS ‘Athlete of the Season’

Haley Kielty and Connor Martilla were both named Athletes of the Season for Temescal Canyon High School recently. The elite athletes are lifelong Canyon Lake friends and come from families who are also close.

Haley received Athlete of the Season as a tennis player for TCHS. She is on the varsity girls tennis team which finished in third place in CIF Division 2. Haley has been on the varsity team for all four years at the school and was chosen as the team MVP for two years.

Haley is All League Doubles Champion and played alongside her sophomore sister Kaylin (KK) Kielty.

Haley has a GPA of 4.23, and she is Director of Link Crew for ASB at Temescal Canyon. She plans to attend Dominican University of California in San Rafael. She has received trustee and tennis scholarships.

Connor received his Athlete of the Season for his performance in water polo. Connor broke the school record with 14 goals in a match and finished the season with 70 assists.

Not only does Connor play water polo, but he is on the varsity tennis and swim teams. He also finds time to participate in the club swim team for Riverside Aquatics Association. Connor holds a GPA of 4.6 and is on the National Honor Society, IB, CSF and Interact.
