POA encourages advance holiday guest access

With the holiday season comes an added number of guests traversing the gates of Canyon Lake. The Canyon Lake POA is encouraging its members to give some thought to how best authorize guest access during this busy time.

“The holidays are right around the corner, which means residents will likely have more friends and family visiting than average to celebrate the holidays,’’ the Canyon Lake POA said in a post to Canyon Lakers. “If you intend to have family and friends over for any upcoming holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Eve please consider authorizing guest access in advance.”

The Canyon Lake POA has provided various methods of managing guest access to make it quicker and easier, as well as, helping guests to access the community faster.

The dwellingLIVE Smartphone App has a free guest list app for both iOS and Android devices. This app allows users to easily manage guest lists and account information from the mobile device.

To get this free app, search “dwellingLIVE” in the app store of the device. The Canyon Lake POA login email and password are required, of course, to sign up.

To prevent longer lines at the gates to the community, the Canyon Lake POA is encouraging residents to use dwellingLIVE apps to schedule expedited community access. Those guests who have received a text or email e-pass from resident friends need only show it on their phone and a driver’s license to gain access. Photo provided by the Canyon Lake POA.

The Canyon Lake POA said that e-passes are the most efficient option for guest access. These e-passes can be sent to guests via email or text message. The e-pass option is available in dwellingLIVE when adding a guest, and there are two notification options for sending e-passes, email and text.

When selecting either the email or text option, the guest’s information will then need to be entered and saved, whereupon the guest will be alerted via the designated option (email or text). Guests will then be able to show the gate guards the pass on their phone or a printout of the pass, as well as a valid driver’s license.

The guard will then issue the guest a parking pass to display on their dashboard while parking in the community. This parking pass is in effect as long as the e-pass is active.

Guests can be called into the Member Services Call Center 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling 951-244-6841 and selecting option 0.

Staff answering the phone will ask for the member name, property address, and call-in code, as well as the guest’s name as it appears on their driver’s license.
