Canyon Lake athlete takes second in age group at Ironman 70.3

Stefanie Cullingford of Canyon Lake and a member of the Canyon Lake Triathlon and Fitness Club took second place in Ironman 70.3 Oceanside in the women’s 30-34 age group.

The finish qualified her for the Ironman Championship in St. George, Utah next year.

Stefanie is no stranger to the podium having competed in the World Championships in the Olympic Distance. The Ironman 70.3 Oceanside event was her first Ironman 70.3.

Stefanie will be joined by her friend and fellow club member Becky McQuain at the Ironman North American Championship in St. George.
