Neon Circus plays to sold out Guild Concert

The Canyon Lake Lodge was the scene for two stepping and shaking some booty Sunday as Canyon Lakers and their guests rocked out to Brooks and Dunn country music in the Holiday Bay Room.

The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild sold 350 tickets for the Neon Circus concert and many of the guests were on their feet all night doing a little Boot Scootin’ Boogie and some Tush Pushin.’

The Brooks and Dunn tribute band interacted with the audience and expressed its appreciation for so many coming out to spend the evening with them as they paid tribute to the famous Brooks and Dunn duo.

The band did not let the audience down as they honky-tonked up the stage with non-stop Brooks and Dunn music.

The band had the audience out of its chairs as it performed Coming to America. Songs such as Neon Moon stirred the audience to sing along and My Maria had the audience dancing.

When the band concluded with what it thought would be its final song, it was overwhelmed by the audience chanting “encore” and the duo obliged and treated the Canyon Lakers with two more songs.

The two band members said they loved spending the evening in Canyon Lake and expressed a desire to come back and perform again. They said audiences like what they experienced Sunday at the Lodge is what keeps their love of music alive and them performing.

The Guild presented the band with Canyon Lake guitar picks and Jeremy Marsh immediately placed his on a pick necklace he was wearing and said, “Canyon Lake will alway be close to his heart.”

Guild President Bonnie Dubbs expressed gratitude for the guild members and board for all the help and support they gave in making the concert possible. She said she was grateful for the audience who came out to support not only the band, but “this amazing evening.”
