Canyon Lake wins Battle of Cities Golf title

For the second year in a row, the City of Canyon Lake won the Second Annual Battle of the Cities Golf Tournament versus competing neighboring cities Wildomar, Menifee and Lake Elsinore. The tournament was held at the Canyon Lake Golf Course on Saturday.

In addition to the cities competing, a separate competition took place among WCROG, EVMWD and CR&R. EVMWD won that scramble competition.

At the conclusion of the tournament, a buffet and awards ceremony were held at the Canyon Lake Country Club.

Mayor Kasey Castillo presented the trophy to the City of Canyon Lake golfers which included the foresome of Councilman Larry Greene, Interim Fire Chief Jeff LaTendresse, Finance Director Terry Shea and George Sauseda.

The trophy will be put on display at City Hall.
