Canyon Lake Community invited to Mermaid Tea

Canyon Lakers are invited to a Mermaid Tea, hosted by the newly-sanctioned Canyon Lake Mermaids Club tomorrow (Saturday) at the Canyon Lake Senior Center from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Tickets are available for $35.00 each and can be purchased from Kathy Ray at kathyray82@hotmail.com.

The price of the ticket includes a glass of champagne and a themed afternoon of assorted finger sandwiches, desserts and traditional scones, clotted cream and jam. Additional champagne is available by the bottle.

Entertainment will be provided by Aprile McKinnon. There will be a cash bar as well as an opportunity drawing.

Costumes are optional, however, they are greatly encouraged, Kathy said. As part of the entertainment, Aprile will be conducting a costume contest.

Space is limited. Seating will be available inside and outside. Reserved seating is available to groups of four and eight. For single ticketed guests, it will be open seating.

To reserve an entire table, the cost is $280.00 for eight and $140.00 for four.

Proceeds from this event will go towards the club’s philanthropic efforts to raise money for the women’s shelters, animal shelters, etc.

Tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.
