Gathering up Witches of CL

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club is preparing for its annual Gathering of Witches to be held on Oct. 9 at the Canyon Lake Senior Center.

All witches of any age group are invited to attend. There is plenty of fun to be had with games, costumes, prizes and raffles galore, Kathy Ray, the club’s publicity chair, said. Tarot Seers and Palm Readers and a Witch Doctor will be making an appearance, too. Those attending are typically decked out in the latest witch fashions.

Price of the event is $35.00 for senior-level witches and $20.00 for those witches in training age 16 and under. Ticket includes a luncheon and one drink. Additional drinks may be purchased at the event, Kathy said.

Proceeds from the event will go toward the club’s regular philanthropic ventures.

In addition to the food and drinks, there will be raffle opportunities and a basket will be auctioned off in a silent auction, Woman’s Club representative Samantha Gorrell said. Also, present at the event will be several vendors that will be available for shopping by those in attendance.
