The Canyon Lake Bassmasters Club held its August Night Tournament where the big fish was caught by Rich Tucker and weighed in at 7.05 pounds.
There were 14 boats and 26 anglers who participated in the tournament which started at 6:00 p.m. and didn’t finish up until 2:00 a.m. the next morning. The late-night schedule is to ensure that there is cooler weather that is better for the anglers and for the fish upon release.
First place team award went to Brian Hohn and Rich Tucker with a three-fish catch of 16.61 lbs.
Second place went to Kevin Hugo and Steve Baker with a catch of 13.86 lbs.
Third place went to Nolan Cromwell and Joe Merrill with a catch of 13.65 lbs.
