Craig Campbell Concert General Admission tickets sold out

Only a limited number of VIP tickets are available for the American Country Music star Craig Campbell’s concert that is coming to Canyon Lake on Aug. 28 at the Canyon Lake Lodge. General Admission tickets sold out earlier this week, according to concert producer Doug Schultz.

The concert is the first since before the pandemic of the Concerts at the Lodge concert series.

“I am so excited to finally be able to produce another Concert at the Lodge again,” Doug said. “This will be our 22nd show in the Holiday Bay Room and the first with the new sound system.”

It was announced this week that the opening act will be Lance Allen Mowdy.

“There have been so many requests for an encore performance by Lance that he will be opening for Craig,” Doug said. “Lance started his career at a young age as a singer/songwriter in Contemporary Christian music. His first album produced three radio hit songs.”

Lance is a former West Coast Country Music Association Male Entertainer and Vocalist of the Year. He’s currently in the studio recording his first country album.

Craig Campbell has eight singles on the Country Music Chart and two popular albums.

VIP Admission tickets are $54. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the opening act starts at 7:30 p.m. with Craig taking the stage at 8:30 p.m.

Town Center landscape being renovated

Landscape grass maintenance being stalled to replace the turf has resulted in dead grass at the Canyon Lake Town Center. The Canyon Lake Merchants Association, which maintains all of the landscape, parking and common areas of the Canyon Lake Town Center recently received approval for a $100,000 turf removal rebate from Metropolitan Water District.

Contractors have begun installing new irrigation valves and drip irrigation as part of the renovation of the grass areas. Those grass areas in the Town Center Planters will be removed.

All of the planters will be updated with new plants, shrubs, drip irrigation and mulch to give the Town Center a fresh new look and will use much less water. The vast majority of this project will be paid for using the MWD rebate funds.
