Helping Hands to hold monthly pack event, need volunteer help

The Helping Hands group will host its monthly volunteer appreciation and pack day tomorrow (Saturday). The Helping Hands organization’s mission is to provide food for neighbors in need.

Volunteers will be packing groceries at the event, after which they will be celebrated for their hard work. The club is expected to deliver several thousand pounds of food throughout the week. Because of this exceptional amount of donations, the organization needs several volunteers to join.

“The Helping Hands Group appreciates our Canyon Lake neighbors who are taking time to serve our neighbors in need,” Lawrence Evans, a member of the club, said. “The food you pick up and deliver to those in need is helping to bring hope to those who desperately need it.”

The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. in the parking lot of their warehouse located at 31877 Corydon Road in Lake Elsinore.

Early birds can also help set up the volunteer site at 6:30 a.m.

Those unavailable to volunteer their time tomorrow are encouraged to visit their online store, www.shophelpinghands.us, to purchase bags of food that the club will deliver to local low-income seniors in the community.
