E-Pass will help speed up holiday gate access

The busiest day of the year at the Canyon Lake gates is July 4th. Using dwellingLIVE’s e-pass service to help guest get into the community quicker will help speed up the process.

Guests can either print their pass ahead of time or display the pass on their device for the gate guard to scan.

As always, please remind guests that they must have a valid driver’s license in their possession when entering the community. Also, advise guests that they need to know the address of the member who called them in. Having these items at the ready will help Community Patrol verify their information quicker at the gates.

Caregiver Connection meeting on Monday at Community Church

After a long COVID-19 break, the Canyon Lake Community Church Caregiver Connection Support Group is resuming its meetings.

“We look forward to seeing our ‘old’ friends, as well as those new to caregiving,” the church’s Jo Ann Wickerath said. “Whether your loved one is still in your care, in a care facility, or has gone home to the Lord, we welcome you into our support group for fellowship and encouragement.”

The meetings take place every second and fourth Monday from 10:00 a.m. to noon. at Canyon Lake Community Church in Building “C” in Room 11.

“Masks and social distancing will be at the individual’s discretion, as we have a large meeting room,” Bev Haney of the church said. “Please bring your own beverage, as none will be served. And please remember, no perfume, for the benefit of our friends with allergies.”

Mailbox clusters being renovated throughout town

The Canyon Lake POA is in the process of replacing the concrete slabs for most of the mailbox clusters throughout the community. Upcoming work will take place at the mailboxes on Sparrow Hawk Drive and Pretty Doe Drive as well as Canyon Lake Drive South and Village Way Drive.

Notices of upcoming work will be posted at mailboxes and mail delivery service should not be interrupted.

The United States Postal Service has requested that all mailbox numbers read left to right in numerical order. Consequently, during the process of replacing the slabs, the mailboxes will be rearranged to meet this requirement.

Current mailbox keys will continue to work after the renumbering. Residents with any questions may contact the Canyon Lake POA Operations Department at 951-244-6841, x510.
