Hans and Linda Weg took The Friday Flyer along as they visited Genoa, the first settlement in Nevada. They spent a week at David Walley Resort there. Genoa was established in 1851 and has the first general store and saloon in Nevada. It also was one of the stops for the Pony Express. Genoa is only 19 miles from Lake Tahoe over the Kingsbury Grade. At Lake Tahoe, the Wegs drove around the entire lake, which is a 72-mile trek. They visited several of the landmark spots in the area surrounding Genoa.
