The Canyon Lake Little League California District 28 AAA Champion Rangers made city history when it finished the season with a perfect 18-0 record and outscored its opponents 258-22.
When it came time for the postseason and The District 28 Tournament of Champions, the team continued to win. During the tournament, which was played last week, the team won four straight games, giving up a total of only two hits and outscoring its opponents, 59-0.
“There really are not enough words to explain how proud we are of this team and how they played together this season,” Eric Frega, a coach, said. “They rallied together and made history. I think all of us can say that they exceeded all our expectations.”
