Canyon Lakers invited to huge local car show

A major car show staged just down Railroad Canyon Road is being organized by long-time Canyon Lake resident Paul Kakis with participation from various members of the Canyon Lake community, including the Canyon Lake Car Club. The Lamb’s Fellowship Car and Bike Show will take place on May 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

After taking the COVID-19 year off last year, the car show is back and will have on display movie cars from Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, Knight Rider and Batman.

Paul, the executive director of the show, anticipates more than 300 show cars, 150 show bikes and more at the show that will take place at Lamb’s Fellowship Church at 21901 Railroad Canyon Rd. in Lake Elsinore.

“Once again, The Canyon Lake Car Club is pleased to attend and support the 2021 Lambs Fellowship Car and Bike Show,” Perry Beggs, The Canyon Lake Car Club president, said. “This is a fantastic event with a great cause. Many of our members have attended in the past and have won awards while having a great time. This year will be no different. This is one of our favorite shows and being so close to home is a bonus.”

Paul said many Canyon Lake car enthusiasts have attended the event in the past and he anticipates record numbers coming again this year.

“The Lamb’s Fellowship Car and Bike Show is one of the best in our area,” Canyon Lake Car Club Treasurer Russell Smith said. “Just down the hill from Canyon Lake, it brings out many of our community’s hot riders as well as many other award-winning cars from all over Southern California and beyond.”

Russell said he has displayed several different cars over the years, and even won a “Best of Show” with his 1951 Ford Woodie. “I am so glad it’s back on this year,” he said. “This is a not-to-be missed event.”

Steve Pease, a long-time resident of Canyon Lake as well as the Chairman and Founder of the Boomers Car Club, said both he and his car club have supported the show since its inception.

“The Lamb’s Fellowship Car and Bike Show benefits homeless children and children with disabilities in the surrounding area, including Canyon Lake,” Steve said. “I am a personal major contributor and sponsor of the event each year and my car club raises funds to sponsor the show as well.”

Steve said all of the money that is netted from the show is dedicated to helping these children and their needs.

“The raised funds provide sponsorship to summer camps to help them enjoy life a little and take them away from their environment for some peace and happiness,” he said. “The Lamb’s Show offers a day of fun activities for the entire family including showcasing some very beautiful cars and motorcycles.”
