Local sheriff’s station names new captain

The Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station, which provides police services for the Canyon Lake Police Department, has named Andrew Elia its new captain..

The former Lake Elsinore station captain, Michael Lujan, retired last month.

Andrew has worked in law enforcement for almost 22 years. He had served as the Dedicated Lieutenant for the City of Norco.

He helped enhance community relations, commitment and proactive policing notions in his former responsibilities.

Andrew also decreased Part 1 crimes, lessened average response times, led staff and fiscally conducted the operation.
