Moonstone Beach being upgraded

Tiny Moonstone Beach has not been left out of the community-wide renovations the Canyon Lake POA is busy implementing. Work has begun on upgrades there where a small picnic area exists next to a dock that juts out into the lake.

​Moonstone Beach is a sandy area that pokes out into the Main Lake next to Little Fish Cove off of Whirlaway Drive. The upgrades include replacing cracked concrete slabs, creating a pathway from the parking lot to the sitting area, adding stairs down to the dock, replacing the barbecues, replacing trash receptacles and adding new picnic tables.

The beach has a dedicated swimming area out of the way of boat traffic. There is also a restroom there.

Work is anticipated to be completed early next year.

The park will remain open while it is under construction, but those using it should be careful and use caution while work takes place.
