Inland Empire’s Got Talent inviting CLers

Cash prizes and exposure all over the Inland Empire is being offered to those willing to share their talent at The Canyon Lake Community Theater’s virtual talent competition.

The event, Inland Empire’s Got Talent, is the theater group’s own version of America’s Got Talent and will feature local talents. Winners will receive a $100 cash prize plus a prize package.

All types of talents are welcome and anything goes. The contest will run like a show, but via Facebook. Contestants are encouraged to keep their submissions to a three-minute time limit. All ages are welcome.

Anyone interested in participating and becoming one of the contestants will need to submit an entry to iegottalent@gmail.com. The contestant’s name, age, the name of the contestant’s Facebook profile and the type of talent being performed (and its name) will need to be included. Video entries can be submitted either via email or through a YouTube link.

Once the submissions and entries have closed, contestants will be emailed with the specifics of the competition. The deadline for entries is Dec. 18.

All entries will be uploaded to Facebook and may be viewed for $20 per Facebook account. Each streaming ticket purchased includes access to the Inland Empire’s Got Talent Facebook page where individuals can view contestant submissions and vote once for their favorite.

Tickets will be available on Dec. 21 and all funds will go to the nonprofit Canyon Lake Community Theater to help bring the arts to the Canyon Lake community. The first round of the contest will air on the Facebook page on Jan. 4.
