Seven ladies ‘Beat the Pro’ at 9ers golf event

Twenty Canyon Lake women spent the day with Canyon Lake PGA Golf Pro Pat Kemball in an attempt to beat him at his game. Seven succeeded.

The Canyon Lake 9er’s Golf Club held a day golfing just prior to the course reseeding closure with Pat in a competition to “Beat the Pro.”

The club members were not only enjoying the golfing, but the event created an opportunity to go shopping at the Pro Shop as well. They were all given a credit up to the cost of their entry fees to spend at the Pro Shop. Those who Beat the Pro, received twice the entry fee credit to spend.

“All the 9er’s send our many thanks to Pat for this great day,” the club said. “Thanks to Pat for giving us invaluable tips while we golfed at this great event!”

The 9ers Golf Club is a women’s golf club that meets once a week for a nine hole round of golf.

The club accepts new members. All ages are welcome as well as all skill levels.

The Canyon Lake 9ers Golf Club collects member golf scores and submits them to the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) where they will update handicaps.

“We play for fun, and to develop our skills,” the club said.  “We are more interested in making good friends than being the ‘best’.”
